BIO

My art is influenced by years of travel, philosophy and events in everyday life. I look for the essence in a subject or subject matter. Context often provides the necessary inspiration which, in turn, dictates the medium. However, in the process of creating any work, medium becomes subject, and therefore, a medium is sometimes the source for inspiration.

Throughout life, as student, as educator and as parent, I have always valued creativity and emphasised the importance of process.  As I engage in this new career, “artist”,  the process of discovering my own essence has begun. I trust the process!

"The openness to the process of becoming         is the bridge between the thing in itself and      the thing as it appears".  -  Philosopher Martin  Hiedegar
